Sleep Apnoea and Snoring Clinic

This new service at Kings Hill Medical Centre is led by Consultant Chest Physician, Dr Ravish Mankragod. Facilities are available for diagnosis of Sleep Apnoea (semi-polysomnography) and if positive this will be followed by CPAP training and support. For patients who do not have sleep apnoea but do have a serious snoring problem, this can be treated using a ‘Therasnore’ device which is custom fitted by a Respiratory Technician. If this does not significantly improve the patient’s condition a referral can be made to a Consultant ENT Surgeon for a minor interventional procedure.

* The charges for this service are as follows:-

• Initial Consultation - £200
• Semi-Polysomnography - £450
• Follow up Consultation - £150
• CPAP set up and one week review - £550
• CPAP three week review and pulse oximetry - £250
• Supply and fitting of Therasnore device - £275

Please note that some private medical insurance companies will pay for the initial consultation and diagnosis of Sleep Apnoea. Patients are advised to check with their insurers before attendance.
