Neurology
The Neurology out-patient service is undertaken by Dr Robert Hadden, Consultant Neurologist from Maidstone Hospital, who also has admitting rights to the regional Neuroscience Centre at Kings College Hospital, London.

Dr Hadden sees patients in all areas of general Neurology and has particular experience in epilepsy, headaches, Parkinson’s disease and stroke.

Neurophysiology
Clinical Neurophysiology is a branch of Neurology which uses the electrical properties of nerves and muscles to obtain diagnostic information. Dr Alistiar Purves is our Neurophysiologist attending for sessions at Kings Hill Medical Centre from Kings College Hospital in London.  Patients are referred for investigations when it is suggested that their peripheral nerves or muscles may have a problem such as tingling, pins and needles, pain or numbness, cramps and twitching. Nerve conduction studies can be performed to diagnose common conditions such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Cubital Tunnel Syndrome and Peripheral Neuropathies.

Neurosurgery
The Neurosurgery out-patient service is undertaken by Mr Richard Gullan, Mr Nick Thomas, Mr Mike Sharr and Mr Buphal Chitnavis, all of whom form the SNS Associates Neurosurgical Consortium with NHS posts held at Kings College Hospital, London.

These consultants specialize in surgical techniques for conditions such as degenerative spinal disease, vascular neurosurgery, complex spinal surgery, neuro-oncology and trigeminal neurology.

Patients can attend Kings Hill Medical Centre for consultations with the SNS Associates Consultants.  All procedures are currently undertaken in London hospitals.

All of the above neurology specialities are used in house to complement our Rheumatology and Orthopaedic services.  Patients can also be referred direct from their GP.
