Health Screening

Kings Hill Medical Centre is able to offer a comprehensive range of Health Screening packages to patients.

These are undertaken by a Consultant Physician or a Consultant Cardiologist who are assisted by our team of expert professional staff in our relaxing surroundings.

We are able to offer two types of screening packages:

• General Health Screen
• Healthy Heart screen

The tests and investigations included for each of these screens is listed below. Some items may be substituted at the Consultants discretion making the package personal and unique to each patient.

General Health Screen

The following investigations will be undertaken by a qualified Nurse & Cardiac Physiologist:

Investigations

• BMI
• Height/weight
• Resting blood pressure
• Simple blood profile – renal & liver function (U&E, LFTs)
• Urinalysis
• Resting ECG
• PSA test for men over 50 yrs
• Thyroid function test for both men and women
• Simple lung function test
• Testicular examination for men
• Ovarian blood screen for women (CA125)

Consultation with a Consultant Physician
Cost £270.00

HEART HEALTH CHECK

Patient questionnaire and medical history, Resting blood pressure, height, weight and body mass index, Urinalysis.

Blood tests which include:

• Full blood count
• Erythrocyte sedimentation rate
• Urea and electrolytes
• Full lipid profile
• Triglycerides
• Thyroid function test

Cardiac tests which include:

• Lung function test
• Exercise tolerance test
• 12 lead ECG
• Echocardiogram

Consultation and review with Consultant Cardiologist

A written report will be sent within five days of consultation

Price £295.00

This screen takes approximately 2 ½ hours. Patients need to fast for 10 hours beforehand.
