Care Quality Commission

Kings Hill Medical Centre is registered with and regulated by the Care Quality Commission.

The Care Quality Commission is the health watchdog in England.  It is their job to ensure healthcare services are meeting standards in a range of specified areas.

They have a statutory duty to assess the performance of healthcare organisations such as Kings Hill Medical Centre and encourages them to continually improve services and the way they work.

During this process the Care Quality Commission aims to:

• Safeguard patients and promote continuous improvement in healthcare services for patients, carers and the public.

• Promote the rights of patients to have access to services and the opportunity to improve their health.

• Be independent, fair and open in decision making and constructive about progress

The Care Quality Commission monitors the services provided at Kings Hill Medical Centre with mandatory self assessment programmes and on site inspections.

The last inspection undertaken at Kings Hill Medical Centre was in August 2006.  A copy of the inspection report for both 2005 and 2006 can be viewed on the Care Quality Commission Website.

The Care Quality Commission’s Certificate of Registration is displayed in the waiting room at Kings Hill Medical Centre.
