GP Education

Kings Hill Medical Centre operates a scheduled programme of regonised GP training and education both at the Medical Centre site and at external venues.

On a monthly basis we hold Dermatology “Skin Clubs” at the Medical Centre where GPs can come along and have an informal meeting with Dr Larry Shall our Dermatologist.  This gives them an opportunity to share knowledge of skin conditions and be given advice about current and developing treatments.  GPs can also bring along patients who have conditions that they feel may be of interest to their colleagues and partners.

We have also devised a rolling programme of external educational evenings and lectures. These are well attended by both local and London Clinicians, Maidstone and Kent Wide GPs.  Often these evenings are led by world class speakers and professionals.

In the past year we have hosted lectures by London Neurosurgeons, Professors from France and Professors of Cancer Medicine in London.

We always use excellent, high class venues here at Kings Hill, either the Kings Hill Golf Club or the University of Greenwich where everyone can enjoy their evenings in quality surroundings.

Each meeting is evaluated in the form of a questionnaire to all those who attend.  The feedback we receive is excellent, with everyone concerned stating that our programmes always meet their educational needs and enhance their knowledge to use in practice.
